Hello!
Hey there! Thanks for landing on my blog page!
I aim to be a very transparent person in all areas of my life. I always want to be true to my most authentic self and an “open book,” so to speak, with my family, friends, and community.
So in full disclosure… this is my first blog post, ever!
Writing is something that I’ve always loved to do. I find it enjoyable and to be a therapeutic release.
From writing my own creative stories as a child, to writing in diaries as an adolescent, to journaling throughout adulthood, to writing 42-page papers in college (apologies to my professors 😅), it only seems natural to write a blog about all things lifestyle, health & wellness, fitness, food & nutrition, inspo, etc.
Being my first post, I thought it might make sense to share a little about myself, my background, and how I got into fitness and cycling.
How it all started…
My passion for fitness and helping others originally led me to a career in education and coaching. I received my Master’s degree in Health Education and could not get enough of the exercise science, nutrition, and sports psychology courses in the program. Health, physical fitness, and coaching others have always been integral parts of my life.
I spent years as a competitive runner, collegiate soccer player, and collegiate dancer. I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a teacher and coach, and by my late teens I had also developed a love for weight lifting. These are just a few of the experiences that eventually led me into the fitness industry.
From pain to passion
After graduating and starting my career as a teacher, I kept active with running, lifting, and CrossFit-style workouts. I was in my early twenties when I realized that running miles and miles every week wasn’t going to be sustainable for the long haul.
I was suffering terrible joint pain in my knees and hips from the wear and tear of road and treadmill running. At just 23–24 years old, I remember standing in front of my classroom teaching and feeling chronic pain in my knees. That’s when I knew I needed to pivot.
But what?
I absolutely loved the cardio blast and that “runner’s high” feeling. That’s when I tried my first cycling class. I was immediately drawn to the high intensity, the music, the choreography, and the upbeat energy.
It was love at first spin—and I’ve been hooked ever since. Indoor cycling became the perfect substitute for running and made walking away from the pavement surprisingly easy. I’ve been pain-free in my joints ever since I began incorporating cycling into my regular fitness routine.
Helping YOU find your groove
Starting a new fitness program—especially indoor cycling (or “spinning”) and/or weight training—can be intimidating. It’s my goal to help you approach it with confidence and reap all the amazing benefits waiting for you.
Some of those benefits are physical:
✔ Increased muscle tone and definition
✔ Weight and/or inch loss
✔ Improved cardiovascular fitness
✔ Feeling better in your clothes
But there are so many non-scale victories that are equally as important, too:
✨ A better mood
✨ Increased energy levels
✨ Improved body image and confidence
✨ More intentional and mindful eating
✨ Deeper sleep
Through the success of the members in our community, I’ve witnessed firsthand how powerful it is to commit to healthy sustainable routines, to have accountability, the encouragement of a supportive community, and—most importantly—to make it fun.
This is more than fitness—this is a community.
One of the greatest benefits of my program is that when you join me, you’re also joining a community.
Our virtual fitness community is a diverse group of people from all walks of life—different ages, backgrounds, professions, and fitness levels. And yet, we share something powerful: a supportive, positive, inspiring, and encouraging mindset.
Everyone is welcome. Everyone is valued. Everyone is supported.
We celebrate each other’s wins and genuinely find joy in the accomplishments of others. That’s what makes this space so special.
Your daily dose of Deitz ❤️
This fitness community we’ve created is a safe, uplifting space where we get our daily dose of endorphins, stress relief, and (let’s be honest) a little therapy—aka your daily dose of Deitz 😉.
My personal journey in health and fitness has led me right here, and I genuinely feel like this is exactly where I’m meant to be. I’m thankful for that every single day.
Want join the fun?
I’d love to invite you to join my private Facebook group – click here to join!
This is where all the good stuff happens—daily encouragement, sweaty selfies, fun convos, and (yes) a few jokes at my expense. I’m okay with that.
We learn to laugh, not take ourselves too seriously, and show up for each other in all the ways that matter. Whether you’re posting, commenting, or just watching quietly from the sidelines, there’s a place for you in our corner of the internet.
And that’s a wrap… my first blog post EVER.
If you have ideas, or if there are specific topics that you'd love to hear about, shoot them my way—I’d love to keep this conversation going.
Thanks for being here—and cheers to showing up, sweating it out, and doing this thing called life together.
In good health,
B.D.
